Our Team

Securis was established in London in April 2005 by Rob Procter and Espen Nordhus. Both previously worked at Morgan Stanley where they led the European insurance equity research team. They now serve as Portfolio Managers and remain instrumental in the day-to-day operations of our business.

We believe the quality of our people is essential to everything we do.

Securis aims to always have a streamlined infrastructure, channelling resource in particular to hiring and rewarding only people of the highest calibre, with significant expertise, experience, integrity and motivation. This concentration of exceptional talent in a relatively small and ambitious environment will drive innovation, nimbleness, access to opportunities, superior risk selection and ultimately outperformance for investors. We have developed a strongly collegiate and communicative team, with seamless dialogue from front to back.

The founding partners’ principle in building the business has been to establish an institutional quality platform that increasingly places less emphasis on individuals for the success of the business and has sought, by hiring experienced and skilled team members, to result in a business where several individuals can move upward into more senior roles over time.

The public ILS market has a significant portion of its origin within the London Market where Securis has been located for over 10 years. Some of our team members have been involved with originating and investing in these securities for over a decade.

In 2013, Securis established Securis Investments (CH) SARL in Switzerland and Securis Investments (USA) LLC in the US, and May 2014, saw the establishment of Securis ILS Management Ltd in Bermuda, giving us greater access to reinsurance risk originating from Bermuda, as well as the US insurance and reinsurance markets.

The Securis team currently consists of approximately 50 staff.
