About UsSecuris 1 Fund is an open-ended Cayman Island fund focused on global insurance. The insurance industry is at an early stage of a dramatic transformation which will see a significant shift in insurance risks from companies’ balance sheets to capital markets. This provides investors with the opportunity to obtain exposure to a new asset class that offers an attractive risk reward as well as low correlation to most other investment strategies. Our strategy is to carry exposure to insurance risks, diversified across non-correlated insurance perils in different geographical areas. Using proprietary statistical and actuarial models, we target a net return of at least 12% with low volatility and tail risk. We particularly focus on private transactions, in both the life and non-life sectors, which provide us with opportunities that are not easily accessed by other investors, and where we have the greatest ability to influence the structure, pricing and timing of opportunities. Our team is built around these investment objectives, combining strong actuarial and statistical skills with significant insurance and capital markets experience. Risk management is a fundamental and integral part of the investment process. We will make liquid and illiquid investments. Our strategy calls for investors to take a long term view. The fund is managed by Espen Nordhus and Rob Procter, two professionals with significant experience and knowledge of the insurance sector. They have a combined 25 years of experience within the European insurance sector and prior to forming Securis Investment Partners LLP held senior positions at Morgan Stanley. Securis Investment Partners LLP has quickly become a solid organization based on clear procedures and defined processes. We have created an efficient infrastructure which allows us to identify and access investment opportunities, monitor and manage market and business risks, keeping good operational procedures/processes and supplying our clients with transparency and quality reporting. |
